Languages and working practices are always evolving. To ensure they continue to develop their knowledge and understanding, interpreters must develop and progress their skills and learning.
Sign Lingual UK is committed to the continued personal development of all our in-house interpreters through mentoring. One of the founding Directors of Sign Lingual UK, Mike Ballinger, trained as a Mentor with the Association of Sign Language Interpreters (ASLI). Our Mentoring service may also be booked by freelance BSL/English Interpreters.
All mentoring programmes are bespoke, they typically involve a minimum of three session with specific aims agreed by the Mentor and Mentee. If you would like impartial and confidential advice on how you can progress in your work, discuss interpreting issues or to clarify routes to qualification, please do get in touch via our Contact Us page.
